Grand Istana Rama Hotel Bali held a ceremony of the hotel temple called “Piodalan” on Wenesday, 20th March 2019. Piodalan is a Hindu ceremony in Bali to celebrate the anniversary of a temple. This ritual activity occurs regularly every sixth full moon or once in a year according to Balinese traditional calendar. During the Piodalan, spirits descend from heaven and are entertained for whole days with food, prayers, and other activities.

The ceremony centralized at Grand Istana Rama Hotel’s main temple (Padmasana area). Padmasana was fully decorated with the offering. This offering is consisted of many kinds of fruits, flowers and other ornaments that is arranged from bigger to smaller to form the required shape.

Special for this ceremony, every department sent a Gebogan to the temple, also Rejang Sari Dance Performance by the community of women at Grand Istana Rama Hotel Bali.

The Rejang Sari is a marvellous ritual dance by women. This extremely slow dance is a marvel of lightness and of ethereal movements wrapped under flowers hairdressing and dresses of precious cloth, the whole in perfect harmony with the nature and the gods that the dance honors.

On this Piodalan ceremony, Grand Istana Rama Hotel Bali has invited all the guest in-house to join as a witness to the sacred ceremony. It is also a cultural attraction for the guests to experience the real Balinese culture.
