Every year, on June 14, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day.

The event serves to thank voluntary unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood and to raise awareness of the need for regular blood donations to ensure quality, safety and availability of blood and blood products for patients in need.

For celebrating World Blood Donor Day, on June 15, 2019, Grand Istana Rama Hotel Bali collaborated with the Indonesia Red Cross (PMI) in a successful blood drive themed “You’re Somebody’s Type.”

The event was held at 10 a.m. at Wibisana Meeting Room and over 40 participants from Grand Istana Rama Hotel employees and guests, have been contributed to this event.

Through concrete actions, the hotel truly took on its corporate social responsibility and is grateful for the public’s active participation.

Based on the figures from past summers, as the peak season of summer vacation travel hits, blood donation volume tends to drop with blood in short supply.  Grand Istana Rama Hotel Bali hopes to help the Blood Donation Center increase its blood bank inventory and encourage more people to donate periodically.  During emergencies, a bag of donated blood can save a life.  The hotel hopes its meaningful activity will continue to flourish.
